Frasier Fir
The Fraser fir is considered by many to be the perfect Christmas Tree. It boasts attractive one-inch needles that are silvery-green and soft to the touch, having excellent needle retention, making it the ideal varietal for families with pets or young children who tend to handle their tree.
Scotch Pine
As a Christmas tree Scotch pine is probably the most commonly used species in the United States. The Scotch pine is known for its excellent needle retention. It resists drying and if permitted to become dry does not drop its needles.
Canaan Fir
Canaan firs are the best of both worlds. They have the heartiness and branch-strength of a Fraser, but the conical shape and rich green needles of a Balsam. However, their smell is milder, and in most areas, these trees will be more difficult to find than both other options
